Biodegradable products

Biodegradable products

Today, the increasing use of synthetic polymers (derived from fossil fuels), and the very slow rate of their degradation in nature, has led to serious environmental pollution. The solution to this problem is to replace some synthetic polymers with biodegradable materials. Degradable exo polymers are another example of this solution.

Destructible Exo Masterbatch

Biodegradable exo polymers, often referred to as “biodegradable” polymers, are completely biodegradable and return to the environment cycle within a few years. In this product, an oxidizing additive (pro-degradation) is used, which causes the oxidation of polyolefin chains in the presence of heat or sunlight, and with the failure of the chains and their shortening, the degradation by microorganisms takes place and continues. . At this stage, the polymer will degrade more rapidly until it is completely decomposed into carbon dioxide, water and biomass. This masterbatch is added to polymers with less than 1% and causes their degradability, so that when used, the polymer retains its properties, but after being exposed to the environment, it can be rapidly biodegraded. With this masterbatch, there is no need to change the technology of production of polymer products, and with the use of existing machines, the production of degradable polymers is possible without the need to invest in the provision of new equipment.
